Ebbing and flowing into coercion
A population of complacent apathetic
Attenuation lulled by blatant fraud
Guiled by her personality not policy.

Through the cracks of awareness
So many had past leaving critical thinking
To the confines of the past
Presently hypnotised by a Cheshire grin.

Looking across the Tasman sea
I saw a raft where freedom could be
Not only a means to exist for me
But a destiny leading me to living.

Though I do not fear for the people here
Creating a soft cell for their courage and valour
Australia to me resonates as the land of the free
Aotearoa is being moulded into a prison.

Its bars most can’t see, others deny
Yet with every admonishing word
To those who expose the game
None shall prevail when all are corralled in shame.

October’s surprise was dominions surmise
Outright governance declared months before
Eluding two welcome friends, anxiety and fear
By electing the hand that bites.
