Starlight found me again
Upon its photon beam a plea
Heralding its call, I decided
To gather with Earthbound family.

Each day was a test for all
Badgered and corralled to remain
Steadfast and alert to the threat
Amygdala’s forever milked online.

Beneath our feet was a void
Not the one from where creation
Leans out in order to experience itself
A maw gorging on distress of all.

Solace came from invisible eyes
That peered into mine to recognise
Separation is deception made alive
By society's machinations and ties.

To my former lover, I beckoned
Looking to find peace in our connection
Reconciling our distance in person
A move made completely in vain.

Lifting my head from the parapet
Scribing where my intuition had taken
My mind to see dots making images
Detailing the endgame unfolding.
