Channelling the energy that challenged
The views of the parrots and pariahs
Nestling in to creative source
I set my soul into reverent fire.

The time taken from me I utilized
Expanding on my revelations of her
Devising ways to recalibrate my attraction
As she compassionately kept me there.

Educating my mind, satisfying my spirit
I read, I researched and reposed
Allowing for dreams to form in my heart
Hearing my calling to fight in my prose.

I directed two voices reverberating in my head
A novel and a poetry book, each arrows of truth
Whose tips sliced through illusions constructed
From the management of perceptual duress.

My adoration for her was alchemy to the lies
Her presence, her poise, her beauty set me alight
In my creative power I forged on day and night
Holding space against the darkness dimming the light.

Feelings from eons past made themselves known
Yearning to hold her knowing she is source divine
As the twin bars of fear and restriction dissolved
I sensed my love was in vain, never to mutually unfold.
